Azərbaycanda faktiki hava durumu: Bakıya aylıq normadan artıq yağış düşüb

Azerbaijan is currently experiencing severe weather conditions, with heavy rainfall and snow affecting various parts of the country, according to the National Hydrometeorological Service as of 5:00 PM on March 27. In the mountainous regions, including Kalbajar, Lachin, Shahdag, Khinalig, and Griz, significant snowfall has been reported as temperatures drop across the high-altitude zones.

In the capital city of Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, the volume of precipitation has reached 40 millimeters. This figure represents approximately 170 percent of the monthly norm, leading to concerns regarding urban infrastructure and potential waterlogging in low-lying areas. Forecasters predict that the unstable weather conditions will persist through March 28, with rainfall expected to intensify in specific districts before gradually tapering off by the afternoon of March 29.

The National Hydrometeorological Service of Azerbaijan regularly monitors such climatic shifts to provide early warnings for public safety and infrastructure management. Azerbaijan's diverse geography, ranging from the semi-arid Absheron Peninsula to the alpine climates of the Greater and Lesser Caucasus, often results in sharp weather contrasts during the spring transition. The current surge in precipitation is part of a broader seasonal pattern that contributes to the country's water reserves but requires heightened readiness from municipal services to mitigate flooding risks in urban centers.
