Azerbaijan and Germany have agreed to conduct regular consultations between their respective ministries and agencies.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, this agreement was formalized in the Joint Declaration on a Strategic Agenda for Bilateral Partnership, signed between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Federal Republic of Germany in Berlin on July 21.

The declaration outlines a commitment to the exchange of high-level visits and the establishment of substantive, high-level dialogues aimed at deepening mutually beneficial cooperation. Furthermore, the document emphasizes the strengthening of practical collaboration on bilateral, regional, and international issues of common interest.

This strategic partnership marks a significant milestone in diplomatic relations between Baku and Berlin. Germany remains one of Azerbaijan's key economic partners in Europe, particularly in the energy sector, as the European Union seeks to diversify its energy supplies. Enhanced cooperation is expected to facilitate deeper ties in trade, investment, and regional security, building upon the existing framework of diplomatic engagement between the two nations.
