A delegation representing the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Media Development Agency (MEDIA) has visited the Center for Combating Disinformation under the Directorate of Communications of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye.
The Operative Information Center-OMM was informed by MEDIA that during the visit, Deniz Demir, the coordinator of the Center for Combating Disinformation, provided detailed information regarding the center's operational areas, institutional structure, and the various projects and methodologies implemented to counter disinformation.
It was noted that the center carries out systematic activities aimed at the rapid detection, analysis, and prevention of fake and manipulative content within the modern information environment. During the subsequent bilateral meeting, the parties exchanged views on current challenges in the field of combating disinformation, as well as international practices and effective mechanisms in this direction. The discussions also covered ensuring information security, fostering a reliable information environment in digital media, and strengthening analytical capabilities.
This visit underscores the growing strategic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye in the field of media and communication. In recent years, both nations have intensified efforts to establish a joint media platform to synchronize their responses to international information campaigns and ensure the dissemination of accurate facts regarding regional developments. Such institutional collaboration is a key component of the Shusha Declaration, which aims to elevate bilateral relations to the level of an alliance across all sectors, including information security.
