According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Aghdam representative secured a crucial win against Germany's Eintracht Frankfurt during the seventh round of the tournament. This result has directly impacted Azerbaijan's overall standing in the UEFA rankings, contributing an additional 0.500 points to the national coefficient. Consequently, Azerbaijan's total score has risen to 22.750, allowing the country to climb to the 27th position in the standings.
With this advancement, Azerbaijan has surpassed Slovakia, which currently sits in 28th place with 22.375 points. The UEFA country rankings, which determine the number of slots allocated to each nation in European club competitions, are currently led by England with a score of 106.991. The progress of Azerbaijani football on the international stage reflects the sustained investment and development of local clubs, particularly their consistent performances in group and knockout stages of elite European tournaments over the past decade.
