İsrailin Livana hava zərbələri: Ölənlərin sayı açıqlandı

The number of casualties resulting from air strikes in southern Lebanon has been released.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Lebanese Ministry of Health and the National News Agency (NNA) provided the latest figures regarding the ongoing conflict.

According to official reports, Israeli air strikes carried out on April 26 resulted in the deaths of 14 people, including two children, while 37 others sustained various injuries. A spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) had previously issued an urgent evacuation warning to residents of several villages in the area, stating that remaining in these locations posed a direct threat to their lives. Following the warning, the Israeli military conducted artillery and air strikes targeting Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon.

The Israeli side has accused Hezbollah of launching a drone attack that killed one soldier and wounded six others. Although a ceasefire has been technically in effect since April 16, mutual hostilities have persisted. Data from the Lebanese Ministry of Health indicates that Israeli operations have led to a total of 2,509 fatalities and 7,755 injuries in Lebanon. The conflict intensified significantly after March 2, when Hezbollah's rocket attacks on Israel triggered a large-scale military response, further destabilizing the border regions.

The escalation comes amid broader regional tensions that have seen increased military activity across the Middle East. International observers have repeatedly called for restraint to prevent a full-scale regional war, emphasizing the need for diplomatic solutions to address the underlying security concerns of both Lebanon and Israel. The humanitarian situation in southern Lebanon remains critical as thousands of civilians continue to be displaced by the ongoing exchange of fire.
