İş adamı Samvel Karapetyan Ermənistan parlamentinin spikerini məhkəməyə verib

Armenian businessman and leader of the "Strong Armenia" party, Samvel Karapetyan, has filed a lawsuit against the Speaker of the Armenian Parliament, Alen Simonyan. The legal action centers on allegations of defamation and the dissemination of false information.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing records from the "Datalex" judicial portal, Karapetyan is seeking a formal retraction of statements he claims have damaged his honor and dignity. Furthermore, the plaintiff is demanding 6 million drams (approximately 16,000 USD) in moral damages.

The lawsuit alleges that comments made by Simonyan on social media on May 19, 2026, were false and damaging to Karapetyan's reputation. The legal filing requests that these statements be officially refuted and that the defendant cover all associated court costs. It is noted that Karapetyan has previously initiated similar legal proceedings against Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's "Civil Contract" party and the Public Television of Armenia, highlighting a pattern of legal disputes between the businessman and the current political establishment in Yerevan.
