President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree approving the composition of the board of the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan.
According to Operative Information Center-OMM, the board will be chaired by the head of the State Service. The membership includes the first deputy and deputy heads of the agency, the head of the administration, and the heads of several key departments, including Legal, Unfair Competition and Advertising Legislation Control, Standardization, Technical Regulation and Certification, Consumer Market Control, and State Control over Natural Monopolies.
The State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control plays a pivotal role in ensuring fair competition and protecting consumer rights within Azerbaijan. By regulating natural monopolies and overseeing standardization and technical regulations, the agency aims to foster a transparent business environment and support the country's ongoing economic diversification efforts. This latest administrative step is part of broader institutional reforms directed at enhancing the efficiency of state oversight in the domestic market.
