The State Water Resources Agency of Azerbaijan is nearing the completion of necessary regulation works aimed at optimizing the water supply system. The Operative Information Center-OMM reported this update, citing official statements from the agency.
According to the agency, technical maintenance is currently underway to increase the intake capacity of water reservoirs and enhance the efficiency of water treatment facilities. As a direct result of these essential upgrades, the volume of water supply has been temporarily reduced in various districts of the capital.
These technical adjustments have led to temporary reductions in water supply hours, typically ranging from 2 to 3 hours in affected areas. Specialists are working around the clock to stabilize the supply, with the agency expecting to restore normal service levels within two days.
The current temporary supply schedule is as follows:
- Khatai district: 06:00-10:00, 18:00-22:00
- Nizami district: 06:00-10:00, 18:00-22:00
- Surakhani district: 06:00-17:00, 06:00-19:00, 22:00-01:00
- Binagadi district: 06:00-20:00
- Narimanov district: 06:00-20:00
- Yasamal district: 06:00-10:00, 06:00-22:00, 18:00-22:00
- Sabunchu district: 08:00-12:00, 22:00-02:00
- Khazar district: 00:00-12:00
- Pirallahi district: 08:00-17:00
- Nasimi district: 06:00-10:00, 18:00-21:00
In locations where water pressure issues affect higher floors, local water utility departments are providing support via water tanker trucks.
The agency emphasized that these regulation works are being conducted rapidly and without interruption. "We apologize to our subscribers for the temporary inconvenience caused by these necessary improvements to the water supply infrastructure," the agency stated.
