ABŞ senatorundan İran bəyanatı: İllərdir davam edən hüquq pozuntusu

A US Senator has issued a formal statement regarding the Iranian regime and its history of internal rights violations.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that US Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) discussed these issues during an interview with Iran International. The Senator emphasized the necessity of the Iranian people being liberated from the current administration's governance.

"We must be a nation that finds a way for the Iranian people to be free from a regime that does terrible things to its own people," Booker stated. He noted that Iranians have faced the restriction of fundamental human rights for many years, describing them as an "extraordinary people." He also remarked that regional conflicts further worsen the situation for ordinary citizens, characterizing civilian losses as a "profound tragedy."

The human rights situation in Iran has long been a focal point of international concern and US foreign policy. Under the administration of US President Donald Trump, Washington has maintained a firm stance on Tehran, frequently highlighting the internal struggles of the Iranian population and advocating for fundamental freedoms. International observers and human rights organizations continue to document systemic issues regarding freedom of speech and assembly in the country, which remain a primary driver of legislative initiatives within the US Congress aimed at supporting democratic aspirations in the region.
