Forces from the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) are continuing uninterrupted safety and rescue operations in areas affected by flooding caused by recent intensive rainfall in Azerbaijan.
According to information provided by the Ministry to the Operative Information Center-OMM, as a result of the measures taken, a total of 84 citizens, including 20 minors, have been successfully evacuated to safe locations. Emergency crews are currently working on-site to mitigate the consequences of the heavy rains and ensure the protection of local residents and their property.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations is responsible for protecting the population from natural and man-made disasters in Azerbaijan. Such intensive seasonal rainfall often requires the deployment of specialized water pumping equipment and rescue teams to low-lying regions to prevent infrastructure damage and ensure public safety. Currently, the Ministry's forces continue their operations in the affected directions to monitor water levels and provide necessary assistance to the population.
