Residents of private houses in the Keshla settlement of Baku's Khatai and Nizami districts will receive one-time financial assistance following the demolition and damage of properties. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, this initiative is part of a broader state response to address urban infrastructure needs and environmental impacts in the capital.
The measure is included in the list of works to be carried out in accordance with a decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev regarding the elimination of consequences caused by heavy rains and floods in Baku and various regions of Azerbaijan. Under the decree, repair and restoration work will be conducted for 61 private houses on M.A. Sabir and B. Mirzayev streets in the Keshla settlement of the Nizami district, which were affected by wastewater. Additionally, financial aid will be provided for damaged household items, and residents will receive three months of rental coverage, including bank and assessment costs. Residents of a demolished private house at 36/12 "b" R. Bagirov Street in the Khatai district will also receive one-time financial support.
These measures reflect the government's ongoing commitment to social welfare and urban modernization in Azerbaijan. In recent years, President Ilham Aliyev has prioritized the improvement of living conditions in Baku's suburban settlements by integrating them into the modern urban infrastructure. The state's rapid response to natural disasters and environmental challenges underscores the efficiency of the Cabinet of Ministers and local executive authorities in mitigating risks and supporting citizens across the Republic of Azerbaijan.
