Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has presented the Order of Princess Olga, a high-ranking state award of Ukraine, to Kaja Kallas, the European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the EU's top diplomat announced the honor on her social media platforms. Kallas expressed her gratitude to the Ukrainian leader and reaffirmed her commitment to ensuring continued European support for the nation's defense efforts.

"Since the day Russia began its war of aggression, I have thought about Ukraine every day," Kallas stated in her message. "I will do everything in my power to support your country's defense." The diplomat's remarks come as the European Union continues to coordinate multi-billion euro aid packages and military assistance to Kyiv.

The Order of Princess Olga is a specialized state decoration in Ukraine, awarded to women for distinguished service in government, science, education, culture, and other social fields. Kallas, who previously served as the Prime Minister of Estonia, has been a leading advocate for Ukraine's sovereignty within the international community, frequently calling for enhanced security cooperation and the preservation of territorial integrity in the face of external threats.
