Zelenski: "Serbiyanın yardımı Ukrayna üçün əhəmiyyətlidir"

Serbia intends to provide a new humanitarian aid package to Ukraine, focusing on the healthcare and energy sectors.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing Serbian media, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this during a joint press conference with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic in Belgrade.

"We are developing all forms of cooperation that can help our people, our cities, and our communities to be resilient, to withstand, and to overcome all the challenges of this war (between Russia and Ukraine - ed.). We are grateful to Serbia for the new humanitarian aid package provided to Ukraine, particularly in the healthcare and energy sectors. This is of exceptional importance to us," Zelenskyy stated.

The Ukrainian leader noted that during the meeting, he and President Vucic discussed the ongoing challenges facing Ukraine. Furthermore, Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine maintains close ties with the European Union and welcomes the acceleration of Serbia's EU accession process.

Following the plenary session, a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the fields of animal health and food safety was signed between the Serbian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management and the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection. The agreements were signed by the respective ministers.

The meeting between the two leaders highlights ongoing diplomatic efforts to secure international support for Ukraine's critical infrastructure, which has faced significant strain since the onset of the conflict. Serbia, while maintaining a complex diplomatic position, continues to engage in humanitarian cooperation with Kyiv, reflecting broader European efforts to stabilize the region.
