Aptitude test for journalism applicants to be held tomorrow

The State Examination Center (SEC) of the Republic of Azerbaijan will conduct an aptitude test on August 4 for applicants seeking admission to journalism programs at higher education institutions.

This information was provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the SEC.

According to the SEC, the examination is open to candidates who have registered online and successfully met the competition requirements by passing the test exam for the III specialty group. A total of 827 applicants are expected to participate in the assessment.

The exam will be organized in Baku, as well as in the regional centers of Nakhchivan, Ganja, Lankaran, Shaki, Barda, Kurdamir, and Shirvan. The test will be conducted via computer, with applicants required to write an essay in an electronic format.

The journalism aptitude test is a critical component of the university admission process in Azerbaijan. It is designed to evaluate the creative writing skills, analytical thinking, and general knowledge of prospective students, ensuring that those entering the field possess the necessary foundational abilities for a career in media and communications.

The exam begins at 10:00 AM and lasts for three hours. Candidates are advised to arrive at the time specified on their "Exam Admission Ticket," which can be printed from the SEC website. Admission to the exam building closes 15 minutes before the start time, at 09:45 AM. Applicants must bring their "Exam Admission Ticket" and an original identity document. Foreign citizens and stateless persons must provide residence permits issued by the State Migration Service, while refugees must present their refugee cards.
