Uzbekistan military delegation visits Azerbaijan

A delegation from the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan has arrived in Azerbaijan in accordance with the bilateral military cooperation plan signed between the defense ministries of the two nations.

According to the Ministry of Defense, as reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, a meeting was held at the National Defense University. During the session, the Uzbek delegation was provided with comprehensive briefings regarding the university's history, its current activities, and the specialized educational institutions operating under its jurisdiction. The parties also conducted a detailed analysis of the current state of the military education system in Azerbaijan.

As part of the official visit, the Uzbek representatives toured the Military Management Institute, the Foreign Language Center, the War Games Center, and the Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev. The delegation was briefed on the modern educational processes and given a tour of the facilities and administrative buildings to observe the conditions created for personnel training. The visit concluded with an exchange of gifts and a commemorative photo session.

Military relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have intensified significantly in recent years, reflecting a broader strategic partnership between the two Turkic nations. This cooperation includes high-level staff talks, joint tactical exercises, and collaboration within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States. Both Baku and Tashkent place a high priority on modernizing their armed forces and sharing expertise in military education to address evolving regional security challenges.
