Solemn oath-taking ceremonies for young recruits have been held across the units and military formations of the State Border Service (SBS) of Azerbaijan.
According to information provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the SBS, the ceremonies commenced with the ceremonial bringing of the Combat Flag to the parade ground in accordance with military protocol.
The events began with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, followed by a minute of silence to honor the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country's territorial integrity.
Speakers at the ceremonies emphasized the importance of the military oath, urging the young soldiers to serve with unwavering loyalty to the state, the people, and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ilham Aliyev. The recruits were encouraged to maintain high military discipline, vigilance, and responsibility, and to master the intricacies of the border guard profession to reliably protect the state borders.
Following the formal swearing-in, a congratulatory telegram from the Chief of the State Border Service, Colonel-General Elchin Guliyev, was read to the participants. The event expressed confidence that the new soldiers, having assumed the honorable and responsible duty of defending the homeland and protecting the state borders, would serve with distinction.
The ceremonies also included meetings with the soldiers' families, during which officials addressed questions from parents regarding the service conditions. The events concluded with the young soldiers marching solemnly past the reviewing stand.
The State Border Service of Azerbaijan plays a critical role in ensuring the national security of the country. By guarding the borders, the service is instrumental in maintaining the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan, particularly following the restoration of control over the country's internationally recognized borders.
