Law enforcement authorities in the Saatli district have successfully intercepted a significant quantity of illegal narcotics, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The operation resulted in the seizure of approximately 8 kilograms of illicit substances.
As reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs, officers from the Saatli District Police Department conducted a targeted operation that led to the detention of two 25-year-old suspects, identified as Zamin Hasanli and Parvin Sevindikov. Both individuals are suspected of organizing the illegal trafficking of drugs.
During the search, police confiscated nearly 8 kilograms of heroin and marijuana. A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident, and a court has ordered the suspects to be held in pre-trial detention while the investigation continues.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan frequently conducts such operations across the country as part of a broader, ongoing campaign to combat drug trafficking and organized crime.
