A relocation convoy that departed on April 28 has arrived in the city of Khojavand. As part of the ongoing resettlement efforts, 39 families consisting of 176 people were provided with new housing in the liberated city.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the keys to the new apartments were officially presented to the residents. The ceremony was attended by representatives from the Special Representation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavand districts, as well as officials from the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons.
The resettlement is part of the "Great Return" state program, which aims to restore and repopulate the territories liberated from occupation following the 2020 44-day war. The government of Azerbaijan has launched large-scale infrastructure projects, including the construction of modern residential complexes and essential social facilities, to ensure a sustainable and comfortable return for former internally displaced persons to their ancestral lands in Garabagh.
