The identities of two women who drowned in the Caspian Sea in the Garadagh district of Baku have been confirmed.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Ministry of Emergency Situations received an alert via its "112" hotline regarding two individuals drowning in an uncontrolled area of the sea, approximately 700 meters from the nearest rescue station in the Lokbatan settlement.

Upon receiving the report, divers and rescue teams from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' State Service for Control over Small Vessels and Water Rescue were immediately dispatched to the scene to conduct search and recovery operations.

Following the search, the bodies of Ziyafat Gurbanova (born 1977) and Nurlana Mammadova (born 1986) were recovered from the water and handed over to the appropriate authorities.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations frequently reminds citizens to adhere to safety regulations when swimming in the Caspian Sea, particularly in non-designated or uncontrolled areas, where strong currents and sudden depth changes can pose significant risks to swimmers.
