İsveçrədən idxal olunan uşaq qidasında təhlükəli çirkləndirici aşkarlandı

A dangerous contaminant has been identified in baby food imported to Azerbaijan from Switzerland. The issue concerns the "Swissneo 1" brand of infant formula produced by the Swiss company "Hochdorf Swiss Nutrition Ltd."

According to Operative Information Center-OMM, the Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (AFSA) issued an official statement regarding the discovery. The agency reported that a contaminant known as "Cereulide" was detected in a specific product batch with production and expiration dates ranging from October 9, 2025, to October 9, 2027.

AFSA received the notification regarding the non-compliance through the European Union's Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF). Upon receiving the alert, the agency immediately placed the matter under control and initiated an operational investigation. As a result of these measures, the distribution and sale of the high-risk product batch were prevented within Azerbaijan. The agency emphasized that continuous monitoring is being conducted to protect consumer health and ensure food safety standards across the country.

Food safety remains a top priority for the government of Azerbaijan, which has significantly strengthened its regulatory framework in recent years. The Food Safety Agency, established to ensure the transparency and quality of food products, regularly collaborates with international organizations like RASFF to mitigate risks associated with imported goods. Cereulide, the toxin identified in this instance, is produced by Bacillus cereus and can cause severe food poisoning, highlighting the importance of the rapid response by Azerbaijani authorities to prevent its entry into the local market.
