On July 25, the Baku City Executive Power organized a large-scale sanitation and cleaning campaign across the capital to further enhance the city's sanitary conditions during the summer season.

According to the official statement, the campaign involved extensive cleaning operations, including the washing of streets and avenues in the city center, as well as thorough sanitation efforts in the capital's suburban settlements.
"Since the early morning hours, the municipal utility services of the Baku City Executive Power have utilized specialized equipment to wash streets using eco-friendly detergents that do not harm plants or wildlife. The operations included cleaning curbs, lighting poles, railings, and benches in parks and recreational areas, as well as sanitation work in residential courtyards and neighborhoods," the statement noted.
Furthermore, the storefronts of public catering, retail, and other commercial facilities along the roads were cleaned and organized. Employees of the Baku City Greenery Department carried out agrotechnical maintenance, including washing dust off trees and greenery along roads and avenues, pruning damaged branches, and planting colorful flower compositions. In total, the large-scale cleaning effort, which encompassed all districts of the capital, has significantly contributed to improving the overall sanitary state of Baku.
Such sanitation campaigns are a regular practice in Baku, aimed at maintaining urban hygiene and preserving the aesthetic appeal of the city, which serves as a major cultural and economic hub in the South Caucasus region.
