A fire that broke out in a multi-story residential building in the 9th microdistrict of Baku's Binagadi district has been successfully extinguished by the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The rapid intervention of the ministry's specialized units prevented the flames from spreading further throughout the structure.

The Operative Information Center-OMM was informed by the Ministry of Emergency Situations' press service that the incident was brought under control in a short time. As a precautionary safety measure, emergency personnel evacuated all residents from the building to a secure location.

According to preliminary reports, the fire damaged electrical cables within the building's utility shaft, the motor of the ventilation system on the roof, and some wooden debris stored in the vicinity. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported during the incident.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations, which serves as the primary state body responsible for disaster management and fire safety in Azerbaijan, frequently conducts such operations in the capital to ensure public safety. High-rise fire safety remains a priority for the ministry, which utilizes advanced rescue equipment and rapid response teams, such as the State Fire Protection Service and the Special Risky Rescue Service, to mitigate risks in densely populated urban areas like Binagadi.
