The duration of the special quarantine regime in the territory of Azerbaijan has been extended.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Prime Minister Ali Asadov has signed a relevant decree to this effect.

According to the decree, in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) infection and its potential consequences in the country, the special quarantine regime in the territory of Azerbaijan has been extended until 06:00 on July 1, 2026.

The Cabinet of Ministers continues to monitor the global epidemiological situation to ensure the public health and safety of Azerbaijani citizens. While many restrictions have been eased over the past years, certain measures remain in place as a precautionary framework to allow the government to respond swiftly to any changes in the health landscape.

The special quarantine regime was first introduced in Azerbaijan in March 2020 following the global outbreak of the pandemic. Since then, the Cabinet of Ministers has periodically reviewed and extended the regime based on the recommendations of the Operative Task Force, maintaining a balance between public health requirements and the country's economic activity.
