Azerbaijan has exported another batch of petroleum products to Armenia, continuing the recent trend of regional energy cooperation.
Operative Information Center-OMM, citing AZERTAC, reports that eight wagons containing 479 tons of diesel fuel were dispatched to Armenia today.
According to official data from Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY), this latest shipment adds to the growing volume of energy trade between the two countries. To date, Azerbaijan has exported more than 8,500 tons of diesel, 979 tons of AI-92 gasoline, and 2,955 tons of AI-95 gasoline to Armenia.
In addition to direct exports, Azerbaijan continues to facilitate the transit of goods from Russia to Armenia. A shipment consisting of six wagons carrying 402 tons of fertilizer was sent today from Bilajari station toward Boyuk Kasik. Statistics show that more than 27,000 tons of grain, 4,000 tons of fertilizer, 133 tons of aluminum, and 68 tons of buckwheat have been transported from Russia to Armenia via Azerbaijani territory thus far.
The restoration and utilization of regional transport corridors remain a key priority for the Republic of Azerbaijan. These logistics operations are viewed as significant steps toward the normalization of economic relations and the establishment of sustainable peace in the South Caucasus. By leveraging its strategic position as a regional hub, Baku is playing an increasingly central role in the movement of energy resources and essential commodities across international borders.
