Lavrov: Ukrayna NATO raketlərini yerləşdirməyi planlaşdırır

Ukraine intends to deploy European military contingents and long-range missiles on its territory in the event of a ceasefire, according to Russian officials.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov made these statements during an interview with the "Empathy Manuchi" project, published on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website. Lavrov asserted that Kyiv's strategy involves utilizing a potential pause in hostilities to integrate foreign military assets that could reach deep into Russian territory.

"The Kyiv regime says that while they hesitate, Europeans should 'bring' their troops to their territory and deploy long-range missiles to be able to reach Russian cities. And then, they say, a ceasefire will be declared. The Finns, the British, and the Germans are all singing along together," the minister stated.

Lavrov further emphasized that when Ukraine discusses security guarantees, it specifically envisions mechanisms directed against Russia rather than inclusive security frameworks involving Moscow. He suggested that such plans indicate a lack of genuine interest in a sustainable peace settlement under current conditions.

The ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine has significantly reshaped the geopolitical landscape of Eurasia, prompting increased military readiness across Europe and the South Caucasus. Azerbaijan, maintaining a balanced foreign policy, has consistently advocated for the principles of international law, territorial integrity, and sovereign borders. As a key regional player, Azerbaijan continues to monitor these developments closely, emphasizing the importance of diplomatic channels to prevent further escalation in the broader region.
