Attacks by wild animals, particularly jackals and wolves, are occasionally reported in the rural regions of Azerbaijan, especially during seasons when food sources in the wild become scarce. Local veterinary and environmental authorities typically monitor such incidents to prevent the spread of zoonotic diseases such as rabies. Residents in rural settlements are frequently advised by the Ministry of Agriculture and local executive powers to exercise caution and secure their premises to mitigate the risk of encounters with predatory wildlife.
