President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who is on a state visit to Azerbaijan, arrived in the Fuzuli district on June 23.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, a guard of honor was lined up at the Fuzuli International Airport in honor of the Turkmen President.
President Ilham Aliyev welcomed Serdar Berdimuhamedov upon his arrival.
The visit to Fuzuli is a significant component of the broader state visit, highlighting the ongoing cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan. Fuzuli, which was liberated from occupation in 2020, has become a focal point for large-scale reconstruction and infrastructure development projects, including the construction of the international airport, which serves as a gateway to the Garabagh region.
