Türkiyə XİN: ABŞ və İran nüvə sazişi üzrə kompromisə hazırdır

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated in an interview with the Financial Times that both the United States and Iran are showing readiness for compromises regarding a potential nuclear agreement.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the minister noted that Washington might move away from its demand for a total cessation of uranium enrichment, potentially agreeing to the process continuing within strictly defined frameworks. Hakan Fidan characterized this shift in approach as a positive step toward regional stability.

"The Iranians now realize the necessity of reaching an agreement with the Americans, and the Americans understand that the Iranians have their own limits," Fidan added during the interview.

The diplomatic landscape surrounding the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) has remained complex since the U.S. withdrawal from the original accord. US President Donald Trump previously indicated that Washington could take very stringent measures against Iran if a new, comprehensive agreement is not reached between the parties. The involvement of regional powers like Turkey highlights the ongoing international efforts to prevent nuclear escalation in the Middle East.

The nuclear issue remains a critical factor for Azerbaijan and the broader South Caucasus region, as stability between Washington and Tehran directly impacts regional security and economic corridors. Azerbaijan has consistently advocated for diplomatic solutions to international disputes and maintains a balanced foreign policy focused on regional cooperation and the principles of international law.
