Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei has issued a firm denial regarding recent reports of a possible temporary nuclear agreement with the United States.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing the Mehr News Agency, that the official dismissed the claims as unfounded.

Baghaei noted that while speculation surrounding nuclear negotiations between Iran and the US is common, none of the current claims circulating in the media have received official confirmation.

"We do not confirm any speculation. The details of any negotiation process are discussed only within the negotiation room," he emphasized.

The MFA official further clarified that the reports concerning a temporary deal lack any real basis. He stated that the negotiation process is being conducted on a professional level and that official Tehran will only accept terms that align with the country's national interests. This development comes as US President Donald Trump continues to oversee Washington's foreign policy approach toward Tehran's nuclear program.

The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), commonly known as the Iran nuclear deal, has been a focal point of international diplomacy since its inception in 2015. The agreement aimed to limit Iran's nuclear activities in exchange for the lifting of economic sanctions. However, the process has faced significant challenges and periodic stalls, leading to frequent media speculation regarding interim measures or alternative frameworks to stabilize regional security and global energy markets.
