The Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has decided to maintain the benchmark interest rate at 6.5%.

As reported by the "Operative Information Center-OMM", citing the CBA, the lower bound of the interest rate corridor remains at 5.5%, while the upper bound is held at 7.5%.

"The decision regarding the parameters of the interest rate corridor was made by taking into account the stabilization of actual and forecasted inflation within the target range, the geopolitical situation, trends in global financial markets, and the macroeconomic environment in Azerbaijan," the CBA stated.

This decision reflects the regulator's commitment to maintaining monetary stability amidst ongoing global economic volatility. By keeping rates steady, the Central Bank aims to anchor inflation expectations while supporting sustainable economic growth in the country. The interest rate corridor serves as a key monetary policy tool for the CBA to manage liquidity and influence market interest rates, ensuring that the national financial system remains resilient against external shocks.
