US President Donald Trump provided information to law enforcement regarding the illegal activities of American financier and convicted offender Jeffrey Epstein as early as 2006.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Miami Herald published these details, citing materials from the US Department of Justice.
According to a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) report, in July 2006, at a time when charges related to the exploitation of minors were being brought against Epstein, Donald Trump contacted Palm Beach Police Chief Michael Reiter.
Commenting on the financier's detention, the politician stated:
"Thank God you stopped him; everyone knew he was involved in these things," he noted.
US President Donald Trump also spoke sharply about Epstein's associate Ghislaine Maxwell. He described Maxwell as "evil" and emphasized that the police should focus their attention specifically on her.
The report notes that Donald Trump told Reiter he had once seen teenagers in Epstein's presence and immediately left the area. Furthermore, the politician recalled that he had banned Epstein from his Mar-a-Lago club.
The report also mentions that Ghislaine Maxwell, who was convicted of sex trafficking, attempted to offer a deal to Donald Trump through her lawyer. According to the claims, Maxwell promised to clear the president's name from all allegations related to Epstein in exchange for a pardon.
The Jeffrey Epstein case remains one of the most high-profile legal scandals in recent US history, involving a complex web of international finance and high-society connections. The disclosure of these 2006 interactions provides further context to the long-standing investigations into Epstein's criminal network and the efforts by various individuals to distance themselves from his activities during that period.
