A fire that broke out in an open area in the Bilejeri settlement of the Binagadi district in Baku has been successfully extinguished by the State Fire Protection Service. Firefighters acted quickly to contain the blaze, preventing it from spreading to a wider area.
Following the incident, traffic restrictions that were temporarily imposed on the Outer Circular Road in the Yasamal district, specifically in the direction of the Bilejeri roundabout, have been lifted. The flow of vehicles has returned to normal.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reported that the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) had initially implemented safety measures to protect motorists. Traffic police were deployed to manage the area and ensure public safety while emergency crews worked to suppress the fire.
Grass fires are relatively common in the Absheron Peninsula during the summer months due to dry weather conditions and high temperatures. The Ministry of Emergency Situations frequently urges citizens to exercise caution and adhere to fire safety regulations to prevent such incidents, which can occasionally disrupt traffic flow on major arterial roads like the Outer Circular Road.
