US President Donald Trump has announced that a historic agreement has been reached regarding the disarmament of Hamas and other armed factions in Gaza.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing international media reports, the agreement mandates that Hamas and all other militant groups in the region fully lay down their arms.
President Trump stated that as the disarmament process progresses, Israeli forces will conduct a phased withdrawal from Gaza. Under the terms of the deal, an International Stability Force will collaborate with a newly established Palestinian police force to ensure security for Gaza residents and neighboring regions.
The US President expressed gratitude to Turkey, Qatar, and Egypt for their mediation efforts in facilitating these negotiations. "We have made historic progress, but there is still much work to be done," Trump remarked.
He emphasized that this agreement represents a significant step toward the governance of Gaza by a new Palestinian administration and holds historical importance for securing lasting peace in the Middle East.
