Teachers holding full-time positions will no longer be subject to the certification process, according to the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan.
As reported by Operative Information Center-OMM, Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev made the announcement during a conference titled "Certification: Competent Teacher - Quality Education."
Minister Amrullayev stated that the ministry plans to create 20,000 full-time teaching positions in a phased approach. This initiative is part of broader reforms aimed at optimizing the national education system and improving the working conditions of educators across the country.
Teacher certification in Azerbaijan is a standardized assessment process designed to evaluate the professional knowledge, pedagogical skills, and psychological readiness of educators. The program, which has been implemented in stages, aims to enhance the overall quality of instruction in public schools by ensuring that teachers meet modern pedagogical standards. By exempting full-time staff from recurring certification, the ministry seeks to provide greater job stability while focusing on the recruitment and professional development of new educators.
