As of January 1, the free balance of Azerbaijan's unified treasury account stood at 1 billion 330.3 million manats, marking a 27.6% decrease compared to the same period last year.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, this data was disclosed in the draft law "On the execution of the 2025 state budget."
The document is currently under review at today's session of the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) Committee on Economic Policy, Industry, and Entrepreneurship. The committee is tasked with evaluating the fiscal performance and ensuring transparency in the management of state funds.
The unified treasury account serves as the primary mechanism for managing the state's liquid assets, facilitating the execution of budget expenditures and the collection of revenues. Fluctuations in this balance are closely monitored by economists and policymakers as they reflect the government's liquidity position and its capacity to meet ongoing financial obligations throughout the fiscal year.
