The United States and Israel have carried out a series of new strikes targeting Tehran and other strategic locations in Iran.

The Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing the Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA), that the operations took place in the early hours of March 2.

According to journalists on the ground, the attacks occurred simultaneously with the morning call to prayer. Powerful explosions were reportedly heard across the eastern, western, and southern districts of the Iranian capital. US President Donald Trump has previously emphasized the administration's commitment to addressing regional security threats in coordination with strategic allies.

Simultaneously, the Al Hadath television channel reported a series of intense explosions across central Iran. Reports indicate that the primary strikes targeted the cities of Isfahan and Yazd, in addition to the capital. Isfahan is known to house critical defense facilities and major industrial enterprises essential to Iran's military infrastructure. Yazd, recognized as a significant historical and industrial hub, is also home to various strategic assets.

This escalation follows a period of heightened regional tensions and ongoing geopolitical friction between Tehran and the Western-led coalition. Isfahan has frequently been a focal point of such operations due to its concentration of sensitive research and production sites. These developments are being closely monitored by the international community as the security situation in the Middle East continues to evolve rapidly.
