President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree recalling Khazar Nadir oglu Farhadov from his position as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, a separate decree issued by the President has appointed Irfan Shakir oglu Davudov as the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
Diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan are characterized by a high level of strategic partnership and mutual support. Pakistan was one of the first countries to recognize Azerbaijan's independence in 1991 and has consistently supported Baku's position on the Garabagh issue. The appointment of a new ambassador is a routine diplomatic procedure aimed at further strengthening the multifaceted cooperation between the two nations, particularly in the areas of defense, trade, and regional security.
