Turkmenistan President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has sent a congratulatory letter to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of Independence Day, Operative Information Center-OMM reports.
In his letter, the Turkmen leader highlighted Azerbaijan's rapid development, economic achievements, and its growing role in international cooperation. He expressed satisfaction with the dynamic development of bilateral relations based on good neighborliness, friendship, and mutual understanding, reaffirming Turkmenistan's commitment to further strengthening partnership for the benefit of both nations.
Azerbaijan celebrates Independence Day on May 28, marking the establishment of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic in 1918, the first secular democratic republic in the Muslim world. Relations between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan, two Caspian littoral states, have historically been strong, characterized by deep cultural ties and strategic cooperation in energy, transport, and logistics sectors.
