A suspect has been detained for stealing $6,300 from a residence in the Sabunchu district of Baku, according to official reports.
The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) informed the Operative Information Center-OMM that a resident of the Mashtaga settlement reported the theft of $6,300 in cash from their home under unknown circumstances.
As a result of operational measures carried out by officers of the 14th Police Station of the Sabunchu District Police Department, 28-year-old R. Alizade was identified and detained as a suspect in the crime. An investigation into the matter is currently ongoing to determine the full circumstances of the incident.
The Sabunchu district, located on the Absheron Peninsula, is one of the largest administrative divisions of Baku. Law enforcement agencies in Azerbaijan continue to intensify efforts to ensure public safety and combat property crimes across the capital as part of broader crime prevention initiatives led by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
