Unsettled weather conditions continue to prevail across much of Azerbaijan, with reports of thunderstorms and localized, intense rainfall in several regions. The meteorological instability has affected various parts of the country, prompting authorities to monitor the situation closely.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing data from the National Hydrometeorological Service as of 9:00 a.m. on June 16, the precipitation has been widespread. The recorded rainfall levels include 30 mm in Gusar, 28 mm in Shabran, 22 mm in Kishchay (Sheki), 15 mm in Oguz, 14 mm in Guba and Saribash (Gakh), 10 mm in Khizi and Gadabay, 7 mm in Shamakhi, 6 mm in Gobustan, 5 mm in Goychay, Lerik, Khaltan, and Shahbuz, 4 mm in Gabala, 3 mm in Astara and Zagatala, 2 mm in Shahdag, and 1 mm in Dashkasan, Gakh, Ismayilli, Kurdamir, Sabirabad, Bilasuvar, Kalbajar, Lachin, Qubadli, Shusha, and Khankendi.

The National Hydrometeorological Service, which operates under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan, regularly monitors weather patterns to ensure public safety and agricultural planning. Such weather updates are critical for the country, particularly during the summer months when sudden shifts in atmospheric pressure can lead to intense, short-term precipitation events, especially in the mountainous regions of the country.
