The Ministry of Defense of Qatar has released an official statement regarding missile strikes launched from Iran toward its territory.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing the Qatar News Agency (QNA), the report details the scale of the aerial attacks since the beginning of the armed conflict.

The ministry reported that Iran has launched three cruise missiles and 101 ballistic missiles at Qatari territory, the vast majority of which were successfully intercepted. "Two Su-24 fighter jets, three cruise missiles, 98 out of 101 ballistic missiles, and 24 out of 39 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were successfully neutralized," the ministry stated.

The statement emphasized that the Qatari Armed Forces possess all the necessary capabilities and resources to protect the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity and will respond decisively to any foreign threats. This escalation comes amid heightened regional tensions, where the security of the Persian Gulf remains a critical priority for international energy markets and global stability.

Qatar, which hosts significant international military facilities, has been increasingly focusing on its air defense modernization in recent years. The successful interception rate highlighted in the report underscores the strategic importance of advanced missile defense systems in the region. Such incidents often prompt diplomatic discussions at the United Nations and among regional blocs to prevent further military escalation.
