The Zayed Award for Human Fraternity is an independent global award that recognizes individuals and entities for their profound contributions to human progress and peaceful coexistence. Established in 2019 following the historic meeting between Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmed El-Tayeb, the award is named after the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder of the United Arab Emirates, whose legacy of humanitarianism continues to inspire global initiatives for peace.
