Prezident: Hərbi təyinatlı məhsulların birgə istehsalı ilə bağlı konkret layihələr üzərində danışıqlar gedir

Azerbaijan and Czechia are currently negotiating concrete projects for the joint production of military products, President Ilham Aliyev announced. The head of state emphasized that the bilateral cooperation in the defense industry is entering a new phase of development, moving beyond direct procurement to collaborative manufacturing.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, President Ilham Aliyev made these remarks during a joint press statement with Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš. "We purchase many military products from Czechia, and at the current stage, negotiations are underway on specific projects related to joint production," the President stated. He expressed confidence that this cooperation would be large-scale, noting that Azerbaijan aims to strengthen its defense potential through both local production and collaboration with experienced partners like Czechia.

Azerbaijan has been actively modernizing its defense industry over the past decade, focusing on reducing reliance on imports and fostering domestic manufacturing capabilities. The partnership with Czechia, known for its advanced engineering and defense technologies, aligns with Baku's strategic goal of integrating modern standards into its military-industrial complex. This cooperation follows a series of high-level diplomatic engagements aimed at diversifying Azerbaijan's economic and security partnerships within the European Union.
