Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has declared that the official policy of Tehran is centered on expanding cooperation with Muslim countries and neighboring states.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the President announced this position in a post on his official account on the X social media platform.
"During my conversations with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, I thanked Malaysia for its humanitarian stance and Pakistan for its efforts in reaching agreements. Iran's policy consists of expanding cooperation with Muslim countries and neighbors in all fields," Pezeshkian wrote.
This statement underscores Iran's ongoing diplomatic strategy to prioritize regional integration and strengthen bilateral relations within the Islamic world. Such diplomatic outreach is often utilized by the Iranian leadership to foster economic and political stability, particularly through engagement with key partners in Southeast Asia and South Asia.
