President Ilham Aliyev meets Oracle CEO in Munich

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with Mike Sicilia, Executive Vice President of Oracle Corporation, one of the world's largest software and cloud technology companies, in Munich on February 13.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that during the conversation, the parties discussed the policy implemented under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev regarding the development of technological transformation and artificial intelligence (AI) in Azerbaijan. Both sides expressed mutual interest in expanding cooperation with Oracle Corporation and emphasized that a framework agreement on the prospects of partnership has already been reached.

The meeting included discussions on long-term cooperation regarding the provision of various services by Oracle to state and private enterprises in Azerbaijan. Furthermore, an exchange of views took place concerning the activities of three Oracle academies currently operating within various leading higher education institutions in the country.

Additionally, the high level of political relations between Azerbaijan and the United States was noted. In this context, the importance of the "Charter on Strategic Partnership between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the United States of America" was highlighted, noting that AI is reflected as a priority area in the document. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, an annual high-level event that serves as a global platform for debating international security policy and fostering diplomatic cooperation among world leaders and corporate executives.
