The opening ceremony of the 5th Antalya Diplomacy Forum was held in Antalya, Turkiye, on April 17. President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the prestigious international event, which brings together global leaders to discuss pressing geopolitical challenges.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the ceremony featured an opening address by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, followed by a keynote speech from the President of the Republic of Turkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. This year's forum has attracted significant global representation, including 22 heads of state and government, 14 deputy heads of state, and over 50 ministers, including 39 foreign ministers. In total, more than 500 high-level officials and representatives from 75 international organizations are participating in the three-day summit.
The Antalya Diplomacy Forum serves as a critical regional and global platform for dialogue, aimed at addressing international crises and fostering cooperation through innovative diplomacy. The 5th edition of the forum includes more than 40 events and sessions, including high-level leadership panels. Azerbaijan's participation underscores its active role in regional diplomacy and its strengthening strategic partnership with Turkiye, as the two nations continue to coordinate on matters of regional security and economic integration.
