President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev arrived in the United Arab Emirates for a working visit on February 2.
According to Operative Information Center-OMM, a guard of honor was lined up in honor of the head of state at the Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi. President Ilham Aliyev was personally welcomed at the airport by the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The high-level reception underscores the strengthening strategic partnership between Baku and Abu Dhabi. During the visit, the leaders are expected to discuss bilateral cooperation in various sectors, including renewable energy, trade, and regional security. Azerbaijan and the UAE have maintained close diplomatic ties since 1992, with both nations recently increasing joint efforts in global climate initiatives and economic diversification projects.
