President Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to the President of the Portuguese Republic on the occasion of the country's national holiday.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the message reads:
"On the occasion of the national holiday of the Portuguese Republic, I extend my sincere congratulations and best wishes to you and, through you, to your entire people on my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan.
I believe that we will continue our joint efforts toward the development of Azerbaijan-Portugal relations and the strengthening of our cooperation, which are built on the foundation of mutual respect.
On this significant day, I wish you good health and happiness, and the friendly people of Portugal lasting prosperity and well-being."
Azerbaijan and Portugal maintain diplomatic relations characterized by cooperation within international frameworks. Both nations have consistently sought to enhance bilateral ties, particularly in economic, cultural, and energy sectors, aiming to foster deeper engagement between Baku and Lisbon.
