President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan arrived in the Kyrgyz Republic today for a state visit.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, an honor guard was lined up at the Issyk-Kul International Airport in the city of Cholpon-Ata in honor of the head of state.
President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva were welcomed by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, and First Lady Aigul Japarova.
This state visit underscores the strengthening bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan, two nations that share deep historical and cultural ties as part of the Turkic world. Such high-level diplomatic engagements are pivotal for expanding cooperation in political, economic, and humanitarian spheres, further solidifying the strategic partnership between Baku and Bishkek within the framework of international organizations, including the Organization of Turkic States.
