The opening ceremony of the 6th World Nomad Games is currently underway in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva are attending the prestigious international event.
The World Nomad Games are a unique international sport competition dedicated to ethnic sports practiced in Central Asian nations. First launched in 2014 in Kyrgyzstan, the games aim to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of nomadic peoples, featuring traditional disciplines such as wrestling, archery, and horse racing. Azerbaijan, which has deep historical and cultural ties with the Turkic world, actively participates in these games to foster international cooperation and celebrate shared traditions.
